Bryan Reynolds, Pirates Agree To Eight-Year, $106.75M Deal

The Pittsburgh Pirates and outfielder Bryan Reynolds have agreed to an eight-year, $106.75 million extension, a source confirmed to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

The deal, which is the largest in Pirates history, contains no opt-outs and includes a limited no-trade clause, the source told Passan.

The Pirates hold a club option for the 2031 season, the source said.

Using a lively sinker/slider/changeup combo, Webb, 26, has a 31-22 record with a 3.59 ERA and 426 strikeouts in 80 starts since entering the majors with the Giants in 2019, including an 0-3 mark with a 6.35 ERA to begin this season.

The Cincinnati Reds have re-signed reliever Hunter Strickland to a minor league contract.

Strickland made an appearance for Triple-A Louisville over the weekend, tossing a scoreless inning.

He spent the 2022 campaign with the Reds, coming out of the bullpen 66 times. Over 62 1/3 innings, he worked to a 4.91 ERA.
